Scaboma Lotion, manufactured by Glenmark, is an anti-parasitic medicine used to treat scabies, a skin condition caused by tiny insects called mites. It works by killing the mites and their eggs. To use Scaboma Lotion correctly, read the instructions that come with the medicine and follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s advice. Always wear gloves when applying it, especially when applying to another person, and apply it to dry and clean skin. Do not cover the affected area with clothes and avoid using it if you have an open wound on the skin. If you accidentally get it in your eyes, mouth, or nose, wash it off immediately with plenty of water.
While using Scaboma Lotion, you may experience side effects such as itching, numbness, tingling, headache, and dry skin, among others. Some people may also experience hair loss and drowsiness. If you experience any of these effects, it is best to consult a doctor.
Scaboma Lotion is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women and those suffering from seizures or fits. The cream should be applied to the whole body except the face, as per your doctor’s advice, and should be washed off thoroughly after 8-12 hours to get rid of the itching, swelling, and redness caused by the mites.
Scaboma Lotion contains Lindane (Gamma Benzene Hexachloride) and comes in a lotion/s form with a strength of 1%. It is available in pack sizes of 1 bottle, 3 bottles, or 6 bottles.
